What the World Eats

JK shared this NPR story , which tells of a new book Hungry Planet: What the World Eats by Peter Menzel. I found the photographs compelling, as the author documents a week's worth of groceries for 30 families in 24 countries, covering 600 meals. The book also contains grocery lists, favorite foods of each family, and the cost, ranging from over $300 in the United States to a little over $1 in Chad.
